Corporate Fitness FAQ’s

1. I would like to present a corporate fitness program to my team manager for an employee benefit program, how do I go about this?
Please phone or email Brod or Aaron to arrange a convenient time to visit you or your Team Leader to discuss the programs and services available to you. Alternatively, for further information, a corporate information pack can be sent to you / your Team Leader outlining program design and pricing structure.

2. How many participants do we need to run a program?
Two set packages are available for your convenience and are based on company size and budget. Groups of either 8 or 16 participants are available. If your company requirements exceed 16 participants, 2 groups will run concurrently, (or can be customised according to your needs) and will require an additional trainers to safely manage your Team.

3. Do you customize program design?
Yes. Programs can be customised based on participants needs and current fitness levels..

4. What kind of exercises are in your programs?
Intelligent Health runs 3 popular fitness programs;

• Fitness Challenge - is all about variety and is our most popular program. Over 8 weeks the program includes, fitness testing, cardio boxing, short intervals designed to challenge the individual, strength, core, agility, flexibility and mixed drills. This program accommodates all fitness levels and all participants see a significant improvement in the own fitness level come the final fitness test in week 8.

• Cardio boxing- Is a great for all ages and fitness levels. Over 8 weeks participants engage other team members in punches, crunches, skipping and a series of mixed boxing drills. For anyone new to boxing donʼt fear as there is no need for a mouth guard or head gear! Our boxing programs are fun, interactive and teach the team basic boxing technique and progress the group over a series of weeks to intermediate skills and finally to advanced boxing skills and technique.

• Running Fitness - Our running programs can be customised to suit your teams needs. It doesnʼt matter if you are a beginner or if your staff are training for the city to surf, our programs can meet you where you are at and progress your team to their goal.


5. What is the plan for wet weather?
Depending on the severity of the weather, classes will continue to run so that momentum and improvements can be maintained. An suitable alternate location will be discussed with your Team Leader for a ʻwet weatherʼ plan.

6. What happens if a participant misses a session?
If for some reason you cannot make a session, or join another group, the session will be forfeited.

7. What is the duration of the program?
All of our programs run over an 8 week period.

8. How long does each session run for?
Individual classes run for 55 minutes.

9. Will there be running? - I am not a good runner!
Except for our running program, the Fitness Challenge and Cardio Boxing have short pockets of running in some sessions. Our classes aim to encourage variety and continual movement throughout the session. We also aim to meet participants where they are at in terms of their current fitness level, whilst encouraging them to challenge themselves and their beliefs about their fitness abilities!

10. Do I need to be fit to participate?
No, not at all. All programs are designed to accommodate varying fitness levels. Even though you are training as a team, you are working at your pace and challenge only yourself.

10. I have an old injury and my blood pressure is a little bit high, will it be safe to participate?
If you are concerned about an injury or an existing health condition, always see your health care provider for a check up prior to participating, so they can clear you to exercise safely. You maybe able to participate at a low intensity and still receive the benefits of exercise.

11. If we need to contact our trainer, where do we find their details?

Your group exercise coach may change at the end of a program. If for some reason you need to contact the designated trainer please call or email Brod or Aaron. Details are on the Contact Us section of this website.

12. What do I wear/bring to a session?
Please wear light, loose, comfortable clothing and supportive training shoes. It is also recommended that you bring a drink bottle and towel (or floor mat if you prefer). All other
equipment will be provided.


13.Where can we shower and change after the class?

Shower and changing facilities will be dependent upon training location. Some standard procedures would be to use staff facilities at work, the local gym (if you are a member), or if classes are held after work hours, participants can enjoy the privacy of their own home!

14. Are there any other classes available outside our booked session?
Yes, pop on to our events webpage, we have a public bootcamp available for you and your friends.

15. How do we pay for the program?
Three easy paying options are available:

• Option 1: Company paid employee benefit
• Option 2: Company subsidised
• Option 3: Individual employee payment

All pricing is set, and accounts for associated costs of running a corporate outdoor program. Programs are inclusive of GST. Your financial investment becomes more cost effective the higher the participant numbers in the group, and the more groups that are run. 16. How do we receive communication and updates regarding our Program?
Your Department Manager will designate a Team Captain/Leader for your group. This person will act as the contact person for your team and will communicate any updates or information about your sessions, as they occur.
